Put on The Armor of God!

In case you had not noticed, we are in an EPIC BATTLE! A battle in which your eternal salvation is at stake!

My question to you then is this - - - "Are you prepared for battle?"

It is more than just donning the armor. It means we need to be prepared & trained to FIGHT! We are past the point of just "sitting on the bench of life" watching ourselves, our loved ones, our friends & colleagues & our world be over-run by Satan & his evil minions right under our noses!

Satan's stealth is just that - - so sneaky & subtle, that we don't even notice. It is the Boiled Frog Syndrome.

The price of inaction is eternal damnation!

We must not only put on the Armor of God, but be well trained in how to use the weapons given to us. Each piece of armor has a specific function in our lives. We must study & learn about each piece, practice using it, engrain its use into our very being so that wen we need to FIGHT, we are PREPARED!

The (6) pieces of armor are spelled out in Ephesians 6:14-16. They are:

              • The Belt of Truth
              • The Breastplate of Righteousness.
              • Feet fitted with the Gospel of Peace.
              • The Shield of Faith.
              • The Helmet of Salvation.
              • The Sword of the Spirit – The Word of God.

Learning how to use these pieces of armor are essential in winning the battle. Satan is cunning, so train well my brother!

God has destined us to be Spiritual Warriors in His Army.

THIS is your calling,

THIS is your destiny!

Are we in harvest season?

Well . . . . it has been a while since my last post (sorry), but things have been nothing short of chaotic!

As you can imagine, LIFE HAS CHANGED! COVID-19 has changed how the entire population of the world interacts with each other & with our society.

None-the-less, there are people, cultures and companies that all flourish in any set of circumstances. Even a flower can push it's way up through literal cracks in cement! It is determined to flourish despite the nearly impossible circumstances!

COVID-19 has definitely changed the landscape of our world and our environment. In some ways, temporary, but in some ways permanent. Having this in mind, we MUST decide to flourish where we're planted and in the environments that are often out of our control.

We MUST dig deep inside ourselves, to find that ever-so-small spark that our current situation may have suppressed and fan it into a roaring fire.

God has planted the seed of who you are, who you are to become and what you are to do, yet we often let circumstances burry that spark and attempt to put it out. It is up to us, to find those God-given talents & gifts and put them to use.

NOW is the time for Harvest! NOW is the time to let your light shine from the lamp stand for the whole world to see and not hide it under a bushel basket!

NOW is the time to bear the fruit for which God created you for!

The COVID-19 cannot extinguish what God has created in each and every person & even poses opportunities to harvest now!

Go forth & harvest what you were created for.

God Bless you;
Ken

Are You Bearing Fruit?

An apple tree bears apples, a pear tree bears pears, an acorn becomes a mighty oak tree. Such is how they were created by our Creator.

How about you?

What were you created for? Each of us was created in the likeness and image of God and set upon this Earth for a reason! What that reason is, should be what we spend our time pondering and working towards.

It is a most daunting task and one that many (if not most) of us struggle with for years and often times, a lifetime! We seem to go from thing to thing, job to job seeking that "inner happiness", that peace that passes all understanding, that feeling that we are were we belong.

Do you have this feeling now? If so, count yourself blessed. If not, do not be discouraged. Just keep praying for God to speak to your heart & guide you to where He wants you to be. Be forewarned though, it is not an easy task. The narrow rods is riddled with rocks & pits that are will try to keep you from your ultimate goal, your ultimate happiness, your ultimate achievement of where God wants you.

When you DO ARRIVE however, you will know it.

Keep soldering on  with your heart focused on God and your innermost ears open to His voice.

Blessings to all;
Ken

Why are we here?

Have you ever asked yourself this question?

WHY are you here?

Why are we here? Is it to make a lot of money? Be somebody in the world? Be the best xxxx in the world?

Why is it that we are here? Why are YOU here?

The late Albert Einstein said that "Man is here to serve other men." Man as in mankind.

Hmmm, makes one think, doesn't it?

Jesus Christ became a servant & told His disciples to "do as He did". So WE are to serve others as Christ served. This is our mission then.

In Luke chapter 13, the parable of the barren fig tree gives us a glaring example. Jesus came upon the fig tree; hungry after a long journey; and the fig tree had no figs! The question then is - - What is the mission of the fig tree? (mission figs - - lol) It is to produce figs. As it was not doing what it was supposed to do, Christ wanted it to be cut down.

So - - - - back to us.

If we are meant to serve other men (as in mankind), are we doing this? Are we of service in some manner, providing help to another, assisting those in need, etc.? Are we "producing figs"? Are we doing what we were put here on Earth for?

If not, how would Christ feel? That we were put here for a purpose & are squandering our time, our efforts, our money & in general, our lives on something other than why we are here? What if He wanted to "cut us down"?

Look at your life & decide if you're producing figs!

Our Mission

 Mark 11:12–14 and 11:20–25

The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. Seeing
in the distance a fig tree , he went to find out if it had any fruit.
When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the
season for figs. Then he said to the tree, "May no one ever eat fruit from
you again". And his disciples heard him say it.
In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. Peter remembered and said to Jesus, "Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!" "Have faith in God," Jesus answered. "Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins."
What does this say to you? It should say that as a fig tree, it's "JOB" is to produce figs. If it IS NOT producing figs, it is of no use.

WE are like Fig Trees & should also be "producing fruit". Through how we live our lives, how we treat others and above all, How we bring God into all aspects of our lives.

When we face God at the end of our lives, He will ask us - "What have you done with the life that I gave you?" We had better be able to show Him that we had used out lives to Glorify Him, to share Him with others, Love others as He has loved us, to have been productive in bringing about good in all that we do & all that we say, to have forgiven others, served the needy, etc.

In a nut shell, it is the Corporal Works of Mercy -
