Have you ever asked yourself this question?
WHY are you here?
Why are we here? Is it to make a lot of money? Be somebody in the world? Be the best xxxx in the world?
Why is it that we are here? Why are YOU here?
The late Albert Einstein said that "Man is here to serve other men." Man as in mankind.
Hmmm, makes one think, doesn't it?
Jesus Christ became a servant & told His disciples to "do as He did". So WE are to serve others as Christ served. This is our mission then.
In Luke chapter 13, the parable of the barren fig tree gives us a glaring example. Jesus came upon the fig tree; hungry after a long journey; and the fig tree had no figs! The question then is - - What is the mission of the fig tree? (mission figs - - lol) It is to produce figs. As it was not doing what it was supposed to do, Christ wanted it to be cut down.
So - - - - back to us.
If we are meant to serve other men (as in mankind), are we doing this? Are we of service in some manner, providing help to another, assisting those in need, etc.? Are we "producing figs"? Are we doing what we were put here on Earth for?
If not, how would Christ feel? That we were put here for a purpose & are squandering our time, our efforts, our money & in general, our lives on something other than why we are here? What if He wanted to "cut us down"?
Look at your life & decide if you're producing figs!
Blessings;
Ken

Our Mission
Mark 11:12–14 and 11:20–25
The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. Seeing
in the distance a fig tree , he went to find out if it had any fruit.
When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the
season for figs. Then he said to the tree, "May no one ever eat fruit from
you again". And his disciples heard him say it.
What does this say to you? It should say that as a fig tree, it's "JOB" is to produce figs. If it IS NOT producing figs, it is of no use.In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. Peter remembered and said to Jesus, "Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!" "Have faith in God," Jesus answered. "Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins."
WE are like Fig Trees & should also be "producing fruit". Through how we live our lives, how we treat others and above all, How we bring God into all aspects of our lives.
When we face God at the end of our lives, He will ask us - "What have you done with the life that I gave you?" We had better be able to show Him that we had used out lives to Glorify Him, to share Him with others, Love others as He has loved us, to have been productive in bringing about good in all that we do & all that we say, to have forgiven others, served the needy, etc.
In a nut shell, it is the Corporal Works of Mercy -
Corporal Works of Mercy
- To feed the hungry.
- To give water to the thirsty.
- To clothe the naked.
- To shelter the homeless.
- To visit the sick.
- To visit the imprisoned, or ransom the captive.
- To bury the dead.
We want to hear - "Well done, my good and faithful servant. Now enter into my Father's house."
The Fig Whisperer is a ministry meant to help YOU produce figs!
God Bless & Stay tuned.
